Intermezzo Classes Spring Tulips

Spring is in the air!  We are drawing and painting Tulips this month, practicing different watercolor techniques. Loose, wet-into-wet, dry brush and color mixing with fresh new paints on our palettes..  The best “formula” for a dark background?  Still “undecided”!  We wanted to try mixing Burnt Umber with Winsor Green, a velvety black mix we found in Making Color Sing, by Jeanne Dobie, but none of us have that green in our palettes.  So we went with Burnt Umber and Viridian.
