The summer days of childhood go by so fast! NOW is the time to make thoughtful plans for some enrichment activities, like art camp and art workshops.

AG Art Camp: July 12-16
Age Group: Grades 1-5

Daily Schedule: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Each child brings a sack lunch Mon-Thurs at the American Girl camps and on Friday I provide a tea-party luncheon for the girls and their dolls. We eat around 11:30, debrief our morning projects and then conclude with a drawing game after lunch.
We will be doing a few of the same projects as previous American Girl art camps, with new activities for our new theme, WILDLIFE & NATURE STUDIES (the art of Beatrix Potter, Tasha Tudor and Edith Holden, etc.). Building on the AG stories, I have taken the liberty to imagine a few more "behind the scenes" stories of how these dolls might have had connections with Master Artists in their particular historical setting. So each day we will focus on one specific American Girl doll and a master artist from that doll's period in history. We'll explore that particular artist's technique. Girls may bring their dolls with them to class and we will make things for our dolls, too, throughout the week.
