American Girl Camps
Each American Girl doll has adventures in different periods of history. Felicity, for example, is a spunky Colonial girl growing up when America is on the brink of the Revolutionary War. Kirsten Larsson (my doll!) has a Swedish heritage. Building on their stories, I've imagined a few more "behind the scenes" stories of how these dolls might have had connections with Master Artists in their particular historical setting.

Daily Schedule 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Each child brings a sack lunch Mon-Thurs at the American Girl camps and on Friday I provide a tea-party luncheon for the girls and their dolls. We eat around 11:30, debrief our morning projects and then conclude with a drawing game after lunch.
We will be doing a few of the same projects as previous AG art camps, with new activities for our new theme, WILDLIFE & NATURE STUDIES (the art of Beatrix Potter, Tasha Tudor and Edith Holden, etc.). Building on the AG stories, I've imagined a few more "behind the scenes" stories of how these dolls might have had connections with Master Artists in their particular historical setting. So each day we will focus on one specific American Girl doll and a master artist from that doll's period in history. We'll explore that particular artist's technique. Girls may bring their dolls with them to class and we will make things for our dolls, too, throughout the week.
***3-DAY SAFARI WORKSHOP A creative journey into the wildlife world of Africa!
